Welcome to the Robotics Camp homepage!
Please review the following information:
- The camp will take place at the Forest Heights Robotics
Center, 2061 NW Miller Road, Portland, OR 97229.
- Open to kids ages 9 - 14.
- From
August 27 - 30, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. On August 31st, the camp will be from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, as kids will be showing off their work to the public.
- Kids should be active listeners and pay attention at all times. There will be zero tolerance for goofing off and horseplay. Any child violating these expectations will be given a warning. A child violating these expectations again will be sent home.
- Students must be genuinely interested in engineering and programming.
- Students will be selected on a first come, first serve basis with a waiting list in place, as the class will be free of charge. All students must submit a short essay detailing why they would enjoy robotics, and how participating in the camp would affect them.
- The camp is small, at a maximum of 12 students.
- The class will be taught by members of former robotics teams.

Day Two - Learning
Programming and building in teams
Day Three - Learning
Teams continue to program and build
Day Four - Competition
Competition - group gets into two teams, and each team works together to build and program a cool robot to do a mission as well and as fast as possible
Day Five - Presentation (Last day open to the public) Last day will be longer, from 9 - 3
Finishing touches on robots
Presentation about competitions and FLL
Presentation of all programs and robots to parents and public, as well as a table performance competition
